Sunday Worship

Sunday worship at 10.30 am

  • Our service is usually made up of hymns and songs, prayers, Bible readings and a sermon. An all-ages talk introduces the theme of the service.
  • Children and adults worship together at the start of the service then the children continue with their own activities at the rear of the church.
  • Occasionally we have special services which take a different format such as 'Café Church' when we gather more informally in worship and discussion over refreshments; and Parade Services when we worship as a church family with something for all ages.
  • We do not expect restless toddlers to sit still, and if they are happier wandering around the church then so are we. There are toy bags to entertain the under-fives
    in church.
  • Hymns and songs are a balance of traditional and contemporary, and come from a variety of sources. Hymn words, Bible texts and Order of Service are now shown on our audio-visual system, reducing our use of paper and encouraging people to "sing up"!
  • We celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of each month and everyone is welcome to receive Communion.
  • Refreshments are served after worship most weeks.

We occasionally hold joint services with our friends from the Banstead Five Churches. Details of dates and location are published in a weekly "News and Notices" email, on the home page of this website and in our Church magazine, Tidings.
